My hair is dry. I eat olive oil and fish oil. I've used different expensive shampoos and conditioners?

Could this be genetic or mental condition? My hair is dry. I eat olive oil and fish oil. I've used different expensive shampoos and conditioners?
idk what genetic or mental condition is but my hair was VERY dry at one time until u used Redken. it has a kind of shampoo, conditioners and other stuff that makes ur hair soooooooo soft and not dry without bein all greasy!

hope i helped!!

XOXOXO!!

BeckyMy hair is dry. I eat olive oil and fish oil. I've used different expensive shampoos and conditioners?
apply some curd on hair and than wash it with baby soap..have chumpy atleast once a week.
Try pantene(Normal or dry)...and or tressome'..(normal or dry)..It could be a genetic problem, ask your doctor, but in the meantime..also use different types of shampoos off and on...varying the shampoos are good for your scalp and hair...putting lemon and or vinegar on your scalp and then rinsing it out..is good for you too..or vinegar and water...also jojoba is a good thing...using conditioners are also good sometimes..now and again....Suave makes really nie conditioners...

I would also recommend Burts Ginger and (citrus shampoo and conditioner)I can't recall the title...but, this is a wonderful shampoo...and there are others to look at in the shampoo sections....you might also try asking pharmisists...as well...they might be able to assist you regarding like medical shampoos and or what would be the best effect on hair scalp....but, ask your doctor first!

experiement...also, asking at Salons may be a good thing too...(reputable ones, that is)
maybe it is due to genetic condition but massage will help you massage with olive oil
maybe you wash too much and dry out the essential oils to keep you hair moisturised. i suggest showering once a day only, hope this helps!
Hi.. how dry is your hair???

wet your hair every other day so that the oil in your hair will go down, use shower cup..
Yes it cd be a genetic or mental condition ; But my dear, try [warm coconut oil ] oiling yr hair atleast 1 hour before washing them and then applying little oil to the scalp wn they [hair] are dry.

%26amp; Do not wash yr hair very often --- twice a week is more than enough. gd luck !!!!!!!!!!!
Baby oil on a comb, combed through your hair twice a week helps dry hair, scalp, dandruff... and it smells good!!! Beer works well also, along with mayonaize. But the best hair product that is actually meant for hair that I have personally used is the ';Biolage'; line from Cost Cutters or other salons. The stuff works wonders. If that is too expensive, try Mane n Tail. Its for horses but it is another wonder product for us too
Befor sleeping in night put some oil on your hair and morning wash it with clinic all clear shampoo it cost only Rs. 2 or buy clinic plus which cost only Rs. 1. REMEMBER DON'T WASH FOR LONG TIME WHEN U FEEL UR HAIR ARE SOFT THEN WASH IT FIRST ITS HARD TO UNDERSTAND AFTER THAT U COME ON.
One word...kerastase!

I have dry hair naturally and its especially dry with added colouring and it is the ONLY shampoo and conditioner package that has CHANGED my hair. Ive tried matrix, redken, wella, but nothing weighs up to it.

For natural normal hair try Satin bath series #3, however this will differ for curly hair etc.

What kind of shampoo should I wash my hair with after an olive oil wrap treatment?

I am planning on treating my hair to this olive oil treatment but I have dandruff and I am using Selsun Blu as my shampoo.

Can I use it to wash away the oil or is it bad as Selsun Blu already dries the hair up?What kind of shampoo should I wash my hair with after an olive oil wrap treatment?
you dont need to use an olive oil treatment just buy olive oil from a supermarket. put it on your hair and comb it through and then sleep with it on.

the next morning wash your hair with any shampoo but do it twice to make sure you get it all out, and then condition.

at the moment im just using hearbal essences shampoo, i wash once, to get the majority of oil out and then i do it again so its all gone, and condition it and then my hair is lvoely soft and smooth!

good luck xxx

btw i have badly damged hair and this has been a miracle i dye my hair like evry weekWhat kind of shampoo should I wash my hair with after an olive oil wrap treatment?
A clarifying shampoo or apple cider vinegar mixed 1:3 with water.
if selsum blu dries the hair up you shouldn't be using it at all and the olive oil helps combat the dandruff...try the mane n tail line!

Anyone ever used bio infusion olive oil products? Looking for inexpensive all natural shampoo & conditioner.?

My daughter and I have decided to go natural with our hair. We are not going with the big chop so we need suggestions for shampoo %26amp; conditioners to use while going through the transition. Any cures for cradle cap? Have tried olive oil and Dentinox cradle cap shampoo.....?

I'm a C.N.A. My specialty is personal care and took instruction from a nurse to care for a person's special skin problems. Cradle cap in a baby is caused by the fact that the baby is growing and the head has collected dead skin cells on the scalp very fast. What you do is gently comb the head all over. Then, you add baby oil- massage the scalp. Leave this on 15 minutes at least. Next, gently comb (with a small comb) the whole scalp again to loosen the built-up skin from the scalp. Then you wash the hair, massaging gently and comb the scalp for a third time -then rinse thoroughly. Comb the scalp again. This will do a lot to remove most of it. Repeat the next day and do once a month.Any cures for cradle cap? Have tried olive oil and Dentinox cradle cap shampoo.....?
With all 3 of my kids I would rub the comb on their scalp right after their bath so the skin was soft. The dry skin would come up and I could just wipe it off their head. By the time they were 3 months old they didn't have anymore.Any cures for cradle cap? Have tried olive oil and Dentinox cradle cap shampoo.....?
The gentlest treatment is to simply rub a small amount of baby oil or olive oil onto your baby's scalp. Wait several minutes for the oil to soften and loosen the scales, and brush them away with a soft brush or a dry terry-cloth washcloth.Frequent gentle shampooing may prevent the build up of scales. good luck

    cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…
Try switching shampoos. My children didn't get on with one brand and I switched to Johnsons - and the cradle cap disappeared. But I've heard other people say that Johnsons gives their babies cradle cap and they've had to switch to another brand.
wet your babys hair and put olive oil on it leave for about 1-2 mins then gently brush with a head lice comb, trust me it really works i had to do it with my son.
i used everything and nothing got rid of it...my sons was really bad! teh skin would come off in chuncks and would make it bleed!he was allergic to most of the products i bought and the dr recommended..however oilatum shampoo worked best for my son and also a cream from the dr called epiderm..its like a big tub of soft white parrafin..its VERY greasy and my son would always look like a melting candle when he had it on but it could go everywhere on the body and could be put on as much as u want even 100 times if you fancied! we would keep applying it all day then wash it off in the bath then use a soft brush to brush off the skin then put more on..it worked wonders for me.

cant say it will work for you but its another idea to add to your list
I used Johnson's baby oil , leave on 4 a few minutes then brush with a very soft tooth brush !!!!!
    No cures - it happens
apparently rubing lard on to a babies head works worse thing you can do is pick it off
this sounds mad but butter works a treat, my friends little boy had it and she tried everything to get rid of it and the only thing that worked was putting butter on it before bed then washing it off in the morning. hope this helps.
Both of my girls had it, and I had no idea what to do with my first one. It went away when she was around four months old. My second had it and I tried everything. It finally went away when I used baby oil after I washed her hair. I used a soft brush to scrub her hair and fluff off the dry stuff. After that, I washed her hair again with the baby shampoo that had lotion in it, and rinsed it all off, and just put baby lotion after the bath. It went away within a week.
Here is what i done when my son was a baby: I would rub baby oil in his head and then take a fine tooth comb and run it through his head and get all that guk out. I would do this every 2 weeks until he did not have it anymore
Try putting baby oil on it for a while. Then wash it out. It should just comb out a bit at a time. You need to do it for a week or so though.
Also, take a small baby comb and gently comb out the dead skin. You may have to do it every day for a while till it goes away. I always did that and used a little baby oil.
i used baby oil but this is very common so dont worry it will eventually go
this sounds daft, but i'm 20 and i get cradle cap now!! dnt ask why...no idea. anyway. clearly have far to much hair for soaking my head in olive oil to be pratical so i have a medicated shampoo from the doc's don't kno if they'd give it 2 a baby tho.

could try yoghurt, my friend was feeding her baby yoghurt and managed to get it all over the baby's face n head (really didn't want it) but she noticed that it worked better than Dentinox which with hers like urs didn't work a bit.

    good luck m8!
If your bub has sensitive skin then try bathing them in pine tarsal, there is also a pinatas product for cradle cap. But if it's not bothering them then just leave it alone...My 4 month old has it and all I do is rub it while he's in the bath then when I dry it and after that just brush with a soft brush. Don't worry it will go away!
my son had a severe case of cradle cap, to the point that his scalp would regularly bleed. i was told to use dentinox but it wasnt very good. now i use the simple all in one hair and body wash followed by olive oil. when it was really bad i also used olive oil on his scalp throughout the day because this helped to stop it from getting so dry. different babies are different so this might not work but i would also recommend the johnsons range of baby products.
i used cornflour mixed with water and made into a paste , worked well for my children

Which one is better...Nioxin shampoo OR the olive oil (OR niether) for thin, falling hair? ?

I have very thin, life less falling hair. My hair dont grow at all..hardly 2 inches in a year which disappear if I get a trimming. For the thickness of my hair I have started using APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, but I also want to grow them long. Can anyone tell me which is going to help me more...NIOXIN shampoo (or another one like that) or OLIVE OIL? I want something that is longer lasting and will stop the hair fall and help my hair grow...Please let me know...ThanksWhich one is better...Nioxin shampoo OR the olive oil (OR niether) for thin, falling hair? ?
The very best product to stimulate new hair growth and repair damage hair is aromatherapy scalp formulas made with essential oils. Olive oil is too heavy for fragile falling hair. Jojoba is better but even better when mixed with certain essential oils. Nioxin shampoo is good but shampoo only stays on your scalp a short period of time. Aromatherapy scalp treatments can be left on overnight for best result.

I used them very successfully for my hair loss.

If you really want to know everything about female hair loss including types, causes, medical conditions, preventions, solutions etc. See:

http://www.vzbotanicals.com/cbinto.htmlWhich one is better...Nioxin shampoo OR the olive oil (OR niether) for thin, falling hair? ?
Before you try anything you should see a dermatologist to determine why your hair is falling out. Do you have an chemicals on your hair, such as color?

I wouldn't use olive oil, and I would stop using vinegar because it's drying to the hair. There is a treatment, Aphogee, that really does work to stop breakage or hair falling out. It's worth a try, but again, you should see a physician.
do NOT use olive oil, this will probably clog up the hair roots and cause even more damage... Shampoo is supposed to get rid of dirt and oil, not add more... oil only adds a healthy sheen which is not your main priority :P

I looked at the Nioxin website, they were very dodgy and careful in saying it makes hair LOOK healthy and stronger, but it might not actually do so.

My advice is to go see a profressional who will advice you on better products... its worth the money. My dad does this... let me go see his shampoo...

I think its TrichoPlus, it helps with scalp iregularities and damaged hair.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Shampoo everyday for short hair?

hey guys, im a 18 y.o male and i just got a buzz cut, ive never had dandruff before but lately ive been seeing some flakes, and its worrying me like crazy.

When i had longer hair, 3 inches appox, i was using shampoo once a week, i have relatively dry hair.

but now that i got the buzz, im thinking of applying olive oil alot more than i used to before, which was once a week. I'm currently on my second day. But i need to use shampoo to wash it out,

So basically, is it okay to be applying olive oil everyday, leaving it in for 4-5 hours, then washing it out with shampoo, everyday? or should i stick to 2-3 times a week with the shampoo and olive oil?Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Shampoo everyday for short hair?
don't shampoo your hair everyday - if you shower just let the water run on it and message your scalp if you must.

shampooing once a week is enough regardless of length - maybe if you stopped putting olive oil in your hair it would not seem so greasy.Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Shampoo everyday for short hair?
I would not shampoo everyday maybe once week but I suggest Paul Mitchel Special Tea Tree Shampoo it works. I use and help my hair within week.

I all natural / olive oil based shampoo ok for puppy?

I am bringing home a puppy tomorrow and I want to make sure I use the right shampoo on him. I saw the dog shampoos at Petsmart but, they seemed a little harsh.

I have all natural olive oil based shampoo at home that I think would be safer to use on his coat. He is a shih tzu so; I dont want anything too harsh.

Any advice or reccomendations?I all natural / olive oil based shampoo ok for puppy?
Shampoo made for humans contains detergent - all of it, no matter how it is described as ';all natural'; - detergents strip the oil from the dog's skin and coat.

You need to use a decent shampoo made specifically for dogs, non-detergent, so your dog's skin won't be irritated and there will be no residue from ';olive oil'; or any other nonsense hyped for humans.

There are some excellent mild shampoos for dogs that clean without irritating skin or stripping coats.

I used to show one of my dogs, the shampoo many groomers and professional handlers uses and recommended is called HyLite.

It's a bit pricy, but goes a long way and really cleans your dog and leaves his coat beautiful.

In any case, get something made specifically for dogs, but not some cheap Harz junk from Walmart.

By the way, by ';a lot of grooming';, I hope you mean daily brushing, dogs do NOT need to be shampooed more than once or twice a month, that is also not good for their skins and coats.

I shampoo all my dogs (I have 6) once a month just before putting the new dose of Advantix on them - works fine, and I have 2 long hairs. I do brush them every day to make sure there are no burrs or tangles in their coats.I all natural / olive oil based shampoo ok for puppy?
I am a professional groomer and this is the shampoo I use on most dogs that come in, unless they are a white dog or the owner requests something special. We only sell and use Lambert Kay Fresh 'n Clean products at our shop.

    http://www.petco.com/product/102442/Lamb鈥?/a>

    That is the normal shampoo.

I wouldn't advice an olive oil based shampoo on a shih tzu, the oils will weigh the hair down too much. If you want something that is very gentle I suggest this: http://www.petco.com/product/102444/Lamb鈥?/a> and then rinse with this: http://www.petco.com/product/106067/Lamb鈥?/a>
i have a Pomeranian poodle and the best thing is no tear shampoo so it wont hurt their eyes. you dont need dog shampoo only thing you need to know is dont wash them more then once a week.
Ask the breeder or a vet.

I wouldn't put anything on my dog unless it was intended for it personally, unless someone that i trusted advised me otherwise.
Contact a private grooming salon or your veterinarian for advice.
    That seems good to me.

    Adding olive oil to shampoo......?

how does this affect your hair and what is a good amount to use?

more info: my hair is thick, fairly straight, and gets greasy fast.

my problem: my hair gets frizzy after washing and only dies down when it starts to get greasy. will adding olive oil to my shampoo help with this or just make my hair oily?Adding olive oil to shampoo......?
no way! I would only add olive oil if you have a dry scalp which it sounds like you don't. plus olive oil is not usually for the body anyway. If you are trying to fix these problems i think you would be doing yourself a favour by heading down to your natural health food store. They have plenty of natural oils that would do the job.

also you could just shampoo your hair in the shower, then once you are out and your hair in damp apply a leave-in conditioner to just the roots of you hair.Adding olive oil to shampoo......?
olive oil is a great conditioner for the hair, however you must wash it out properly.

Baby getting dark day by day , she was very fair when born. I used olive oil and aveno shampoo.?

I did nt either change the formula. Can any one tell what could be the reason. both parents are fair.we maintain 69-72F temperatureBaby getting dark day by day , she was very fair when born. I used olive oil and aveno shampoo.?
Babies of most races and ethnicities are born with fairly light and often pinkish skin 鈥?the pink tint comes from the red blood vessels, which show through your baby's still-thin skin.

Newborn skin varies in appearance according to how many weeks pregnant you were when your baby was born. Premature babies have thin, transparent-looking skin and may be covered with lanugo, a fine, downy hair. Babies born prematurely will also still be covered with vernix, a greasy white substance that protects his skin from the amniotic fluid. Full-term and late babies will have only a few traces of vernix in the folds of their skin. Late babies may also have a slightly wrinkly appearance and very little, if any, lanugo.

Most parents assume that this pinkish skin colour is their baby's ';original'; complexion and fret when their baby's skin changes or darkens to its ';actual skin tone'; over the next few weeks and well into the first year. Another reason why babies look darker a few days after birth is because they lose water and some weight initially and this can make their skin may appear sallow. However, most babies regain a healthy skin tone (though not necessarily a fair complexion) once a proper feeding pattern is established.

In a country where fair skin is equated with beauty, many pregnant women consume certain foods in the vain hope of delivering fair skinned babies. One such belief is to consume only white coloured foods, such as milk, curd, and rice to have a fair baby. Another is to drink milk or any white coloured food first thing in the morning, yet another is to have milk with a few strands of saffron in it. However, it is important to remember that your baby's skin colour is decided by his genes depending on the race and ethnic group he belongs to and not by what you eat!

In many households, elders advise mothers to massage the babies with raw milk, fresh cream, besan (gram flour) and turmeric paste to ensure a fair and flawless complexion. However, this practice is best avoided as raw milk can carry a host of bacteria and cause infections, such as diarrhoea, dysentery, TB, E.coli and salmonella especially in a new born infant.

Fresh cream tends to make the skin greasy and may cause rashes in summer. Also the abrasive nature of gram flour and turmeric may result in allergies and even bruises.

Some mothers insist on applying lots of powder on their babies to make them fair -- this practice too is best avoided as the powder can cake up on wet skin and cause a lot of irritation and discomfort.

It is essential to understand that a person is beautiful because of what he is and what he does --not because of how he looks or how his skin tone is.

In some cases a baby's skin colour may change due to environmental or health reasons. A baby's skin may look red or flushed due to high temperatures, or he may have a slight pale bluish tinge due to the cold especially if his hands and feet are exposed. Some babies even turn blue or purple due to intense crying. However, if the bluish tinge does not go away after a crying fit, or if your baby has a blue tinge all over his body which does not subside after a few days, it may be a sign of breathing or circulatory problems. Talk to your doctor right away.

Sometimes babies have skin rashes and birthmarks which may need further examination.Baby getting dark day by day , she was very fair when born. I used olive oil and aveno shampoo.?
babies can change all the time. using a product will not change the baby. (light or dark). jaundice can make a baby appear yellow. if you are concerned about something speak to your dr or nurse. there is usually a ';nurse line'; to ask questions. trust me they have heard and seen it all. call them and ask
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking? Many babies who are born with fair skin get darker within a matter of days/weeks. And just b/c both parents are fair skin doesn't mean that the child cannot be picking up some traits from a darker grandparent or whomever. Genetic traits can vary from child to child and follow no set pattern.

I use olive oil shampoo and I was wondering does it help your hair any, does it make it grow %26amp;%26amp; how muchOlive oil shampoo?
yesum it does, it makes your hair healthier and fuller, it also makes it shine. its really good for your hair, most of my hair treatments have olive oil and, no mean to brag, but my hair always comes out looking good.Olive oil shampoo?
    It makes your hair healthier.
its a gentle cleanser that makes hair lustrous %26amp; easy-to-manage while revitalizing dry, brittle hair.
It's supposed to be good for really coarse and frizzy hair.

    Olive Oil Shampoo/Conditioner?

I bought some olive oil shampoo and conditioner. Will they make my hair oily? Is it good for my hair?Olive Oil Shampoo/Conditioner?
It will not make your hair oily.It is best for hair that is on the dry or normal side, however.Olive Oil Shampoo/Conditioner?
I've bought some of this once. It does make your hair oily, especially when you wake up in the morning. I started to use a whole lot less of the normal amount of shampoo and conditioner on my hair and it helped. All though, it is really good for your hair! It makes it soft and mousturized. You should probably only use it 3 times a week or your hair will adapt to the conditions of the the oil being produced and stay like that!
Yes olive oil is very good for your hair. Though if you don't have dry hair then you should not wash your hair with it every day or it will make it oily because olive oil is very moisturizing. If you have normal hair then just use it once or twice a week and use another good shampoo for the other days.
Is it the DesignLine brand? If so, I used it a couple years ago and looooved it! It made my hair smell good and feel healthy. My hair stylist recommended it to me, and I'm glad I bought it.

Since olive oil is a natural oil, it should be good for your hair.

And I doubt chemists would make shampoos that make hair oily. But if you just wanna test it out, take a shower tonight or over the weekend and see if you like it!
At least for me it doesnt but ive got no clue about what it does to your hair

My hair dresser told me to put olive oil on my hair once a week 2 hrs before using shampoo?

is that a good idea ?

    have you ever done that?

should the oil be heated ?or in a room Temperature?

    what does it do?';

ps: I couldn't talk to my hair dresser much we were both in a hurry and I don't have her number , and I need your opinion guys!My hair dresser told me to put olive oil on my hair once a week 2 hrs before using shampoo?
Heat the oil in a microwave for a few seconds, it needs to be warm but not so hot that you burn your hair or scalp. You don't need much, just a couple of spoonfuls, but make sure work it through the hair and over the scalp.

While it's still warm and on your head, wrap something around your head like tin foil to keep the oil warm, then wrap your head with a towel.

When you go to wash it, rinse out as much of the oil as you can first, then apply the shampoo and let this sit in the hair for a few minutes.

Your hair should be nice and glossy afterwards. My hair dresser told me to put olive oil on my hair once a week 2 hrs before using shampoo?
olive oil make thehair soft, strong and manageable.

    follow these steps

    # Warm about 2 tsps. of olive oil. Test the oil's temperature before applying it to your scalp; the oil should be warm to the touch, but not scalding. Warm oil penetrates more deeply into the hair shaft to repair the damaged cuticles that cause dryness, frizziness and breakage.

    # Massage the oil into your hair, beginning with your scalp and working your way to the ends of your hair. Be gentle with your hair; rough treatment causes breakages that can increase frizz and flyaways.

    # Wrap your hair in a warm towel and let the oil saturate your hair for up to 30 minutes. Sitting in a steamy bath can increase the oil's penetration of the hair shaft (resulting in deeper conditioning) and can also prevent messy oil spills around the house.

    # Wash your hair with a mild shampoo at the conclusion of this treatment and rinse your hair thoroughly. As you rinse, use cool water, which seals the hair shaft, locking in shine and preventing damaged ends.
Yes, olive oil is very good for hair. Your hairdresser was right. I have done this before, just make sure you shampoo and condition(preferably a nicely scented shampoo and conditioner) properly to get the scent out. The oil does not need to be heated to work, but you could try warming it. It gets your hair soft and silky and strengthens it. :)
yeah it makes a great deep conditioner.

olive oil naturally has a lot of moisturizing properties.

    the should be room temperature.

massage a few table spoons of olive oil into your hair, use enough to coat your hair.

    cover with a shower cap.

leave it on for at least an hour, you can even leave it in over night.

shampoo it until it feels clean.

    no need to condition
always listen to your hairdresser %26lt;-- good advice right there lol

olive oil is very good for your hair its good for your split ends, and it heals your weak hair to make it stronger. dont believe me?? ask miranda cosgrove she uses it for her hair too =]
Yes it does your hair good it should be heated but not to hot or it will burn

It puts natural oils back into dry hair

You only have to leave it in for 5/10 mins not 2 hours
I heard that it's really hard tacking it away from your hair it gets really really oily...........but I haven't tried it=]
your hairdresser dances naked in he woods with chickens at night
sounds like a good idea what are you trying to treat? tangles breakage?

Olive Oil Shampoo vs. Coconut Oil Shampoo?

Which type of shampoo is better for relaxed hair? Shampoo with Coconut Oil, or Shampoo with Olive Oil?Olive Oil Shampoo vs. Coconut Oil Shampoo?
Coconut would probably be better-- very moisturizing, acts as a fungicide, and it smells better!Olive Oil Shampoo vs. Coconut Oil Shampoo?
    olive oil? Sike. coconut..

    http://www.supremebuy.com
I would go with Coconut oil. Both olive and coconut have great nutrients for the hair, but coconut also has fiber, which is amazing. Plus it smells great!

    goodday

probably olive oil ...thats good fer everything...goodluck :)
Olive Oil hands down! I use design like, you can get it at the Smart Styles inside Wal-Mart. I even use it as a body wash.

what will this do for my hair??I mixed olive oil and aloe in my shampoo?
make it greasyI mixed olive oil and aloe in my shampoo?
don't do that... it won't mix right

but the oil in your hair like an hour before you take a shower (or sleep with it in)

    and then shampoo it out

i do this sometimes since i straighten and blow dry all the time- it doesn't make it greasy if you get all the oil out

it makes it soft and shiny and i'm white
Depends on your ethnicity. If you are black, it will make it soft and more moisturized. If not, probably what the other girls said, greasy.
    Gross!

You can not do that unless of course you want greasy gross smelling hair that looks un-washed.

You should probably go buy new shampoo..
    Probably just make it greasy.

As long as you don't use it more than once a week or so, it should be ok. The acids in lemon can harm your hair so that's why it's important to not use it too often. Is it ok to use egg, olive oil and lemon as hair conditioner and vichy dercos as shampoo?
    yes

Is this true, putting olive oil before you shampoo for like 3-5 mins/1-2 times a week will improve your hair?

Boots, the larger stores have loads of different ranges. The do lots of organic ones etc.

It will be cheaper than the Body Shop.

    Shampoo %26amp; cosmetics Etc.
Shampoo is supposed to clean out all the dirt and grease, so your hair is ready for conditioner. I don't see how shampoos with oil would clean the hair properly.
Maybe try your local chemist or a health shop (e.g Holland and barret)

Many Beauty shops probably sell it like The body shop or boots.
Regis do a great Olive Oil shampoo and conditioner..just buy it from your local Regis Salon

Has anyone used olive oil shampoo and conditioner?

how do you like it? is it greasy?Has anyone used olive oil shampoo and conditioner?
I would not reccomend using it if your hair tends to be on the oily side.

If you're like me, with frizzy locks that dry out easily, then the olive oil conditioner will give you shine without taking away your hair's body.

i especially enjoy using hair spray made from olive oil. it smells good and it makes my hair look shiny, but not greasy.Has anyone used olive oil shampoo and conditioner?
Never used shampoo?? But the conditioner is good. I only use it once a week, and it keeps my hair pretty silky for the rest of the week. I used john freida shampoo for colored hair and an olive oil mix for conditioner. I don't recommend using it every day, but it does work well once a week or so.

Does anyone know of a good shampoo based on olive oil?

i've heard is a good conditioner and helps with frizzDoes anyone know of a good shampoo based on olive oil?
I don't know of any shampoo - but I know of a conditioner - but it is from Avon - if you have a friend who sells Avon you can buy it from them or directly from the avon.com site.

Try Redken's ';Men's bar';, if they still make it. You can use it on your hair and your skin. You are correct that olive oil-based shampoos are good conditioning, but the ones I know of are all solid, like soap. I make my own, and you too can make your own fairly easily. There are books of soap recipes, I bet you can find a good one in the library.
Just add olive oil to your conditioner.
well i will say put on olive oil
the body shop do one go here http://www.uk.thebodyshop.com/web/tbsuk/鈥?/a>
actually, this works wonders and its cheaper. Get some extra virgin olive oil and rub it through your hair ( I rub it in from the ears down) and leave it on for an hour or more. Then wash in the shower ONCE and condition as usual... You may smell extra virgin while it's on your hair, but it washes out and the results are amazing!!! You will have silky smooth hair without spending all the money on products based with olive oil anyway.
    Try these tips. They work!!

Would olive oil shampoo&conditioner let your hair grow faster&healthy?

No, it might make your hair look nicer but it won't help your hair grow in any way.How your hair grows is dependent on your genetic make up, also to maintain normal body functions (which includes hair growth) eating a balanced diet is necessary.Would olive oil shampoo%26amp;conditioner let your hair grow faster%26amp;healthy?
No. Hair isn't alive and it doesn't grow. Hair is an accumulation of a protein called keratin inside the follicle. As it builds up on the bottom it is pushed out the top, creating ';hair growth';.

This is a biological process so nothing that you do to your hair, like trimming it or using some ';special'; shampoo can help. Eat a healthy, protein rich diet and take a regular multivitamin daily. Since hair is protein, eating foods rich in protein like peanut butter, eggs, and fish can help to accelerate growth.

So no shampoo (including Mane n鈥?Tail!) conditioner, oil, or product can, in any way, accelerate hair growth. Hair growth is almost entirely genetic, and a little bit diet, so all that you can do it change your diet. Hair growth is entirely biological and has nothing to do with the hair that you already have, so having healthy hair DOES NOT mean that it will grow faster.

If you want healthy hair, avoid heat at all costs and get a salon quality shampoo and conditioner, wash the conditioner out with cold water, but it will not accelerate growth.Would olive oil shampoo%26amp;conditioner let your hair grow faster%26amp;healthy?
It'll just make your hair healthy but it won't grow any faster.
    Yes, if it's organic.

i dont know anything on shikakai but olive oil/egg is great to revitalize fried hair. i might not make is grow faster, but certainly stronger and more elastic.

heat the oil till its quite warm (not scolding hot). remember oil has a very high boiling point, dont burn youreself. 20 sec in the microwave is usually enough.

whisk in an egg yolk or two. toss away the whites. use the mixture as a warm contitioner. if your mop is fried to hell, don't shampoo. leave it in for 5 or so minutes, rinse and dry.

most important, make your youve got a healthy scalp, nothing you do then will give you good hair for more than a couple of days. if it wont help, i promise you it wont hurtIs it true that shikakai shampoo, eggs and olive oil make your hair grow longer and faster?
